The Food Made Good Standard
The Food made good Standard is the only 360-degree, holistic sustainability accreditation designed for F&B businesses, and is available worldwide.
With a holistic approach that includes every aspect of what sustainability means in today's environment, the Food Made Good Standard is rooted in practical actions that hospitality businesses can take, providing clear direction, support and – ultimately – a respected, recognised third party certification that your customers and stakeholders can trust.
The Food Made Good Standard assesses behaviour, measures action, celebrates progress and provides a roadmap towards further improvement.

why is this important?
Hospitality businesses occupy a unique position between the food system and the food consumer, with the power and influence to create positive change in both directions. Limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees is a large, urgent challenge, and requires each of us to act. It is not enough for businesses to signal that sustainability matters, they must demonstrate that they are taking action across all areas of their business.
Diners care more than ever about sustainability. As a third-party certification, the Food Made Good Standard signals to your staff, suppliers and customers that yours is a progressive business in which doing the right thing for people and for the planet is at the core of operations.

WHAT’S INVOLVED IN THE PROCESS?
To achieve The Food Made Good Standard a business must score 50% or higher on the Food Made Good evaluation. Answers and evidence are submitted digitally on our custom-built, intuitive and user-friendly platform. Each submission is evaluated, evidence is checked, and further questions may be asked, before a final report is completed with a score along with an action plan for improvement.
Businesses scoring 50% or higher have achieved The Food Made Good Standard and are recognised via a star system once referred to by leading UK newspaper The Sunday Times as the Michelin Stars of Sustainability.
