Meet Our New Partners Bringing Food Made Good to Sweden
WE'RE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE A NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH CIRCULAR GASTRONOMY SCANDINAVIA, HELPING US BRING FOOD MADE GOOD TO MORE BUSINESSES ACROSS SWEDEN.
We're thrilled to welcome Circular Gastronomy to The Sustainable Restaurant Association’s global network of impact partners, giving Food Made Good an official presence on the ground in Sweden.
What makes Circular Gastronomy the right partner?
Founded by Ami Hovstadius and Per Styregård, Circular Gastronomy’s goal is to encourage and support ideas for change across the sector, turning ambition into delicious, commercially viable and sustainable action. Their work helps hospitality businesses to rethink, adapt and move forward with confidence, contributing to a more resilient and thriving food system.
Circular Gastronomy stands out for its ability to bridge worlds that too often operate separately. By connecting chefs, restaurateurs, researchers, scientists and innovators, they create a collaborative ecosystem where ideas can move quickly from concept to impact. Their Circular Gastronomy® Challenge exemplifies this approach, identifying promising ideas within the restaurant industry and supporting them over time with tailored expertise, mentorship and industry insight.
This Challenge is a future-oriented innovation programme that aims to accelerate the transition towards a circular economy in the restaurant industry and drive change for a healthier food system. Restaurants, bakeries, cafes and bars and other organisations connected to restaurants are invited to apply with new ideas and initiatives.
Their work spans curated events, knowledge sharing and thought leadership across the restaurant industry, playing a critical role in sharing valuable lessons and inspiring others to take action on sustainability. A highlight is their programme around Sustainable Gastronomy Day in June; this year, The SRA will join them in Malmö to mark the occasion.
Bringing Food Made Good to Sweden
With our organisations aligned in both purpose and approach, Circular Gastronomy is the right Scandinavian partner for us. We share a drive to transform the sector through real-life action, sector-wide collaboration, creative and delicious change, and measurable impact. This is a fantastic opportunity to share and scale ideas, support businesses as they navigate change, and accelerate the transition to a more environmentally restorative and socially responsible hospitality sector. We’re excited to see momentum build across Sweden.
Together, we are bringing the Food Made Good Standard to Sweden. This unique sustainability certification for hospitality businesses gives operators a clear way to understand how they are performing across three core pillars: Sourcing, Society and Environment.
The Standard provides an in-depth analysis of operations, highlights where to improve and helps operators track progress over time. In practice, this means businesses can make better decisions, reduce costs, strengthen their offering and respond to growing expectations around sustainability.
