Can this free 15-minute food waste course save your business money?
The SRA is joining the Guardians of Grub 10:20:30 food waste challenge.
As a proud Guardians of Grub Supporter, we’ve been challenged by WRAP to spread the word about the Guardians of Grub Cost Saving Skills Course this September! This 15-minute online learning module is completely free of charge and suitable for anyone working in the hospitality industry, and has real potential to bring cost reductions to your business.
A whopping 1.1 million tonnes of food are thrown away by the hospitality and foodservice sector every year – meaning a chunk of revenue ends up in the bin, too. It’s time to take a stand against wasted food, benefiting your business and the environment all at once!
WRAP will be working throughout this month in the build-up to National Hospitality Day and International Day of Awareness of Food Waste and Loss, both on September 29th. Taking inspiration from the Champions 12.3 10x20x30 campaign, the Guardians of Grub 10:20:30 challenge will use a ripple effect to generate action on food waste across the industry. WRAP is asking 10 Guardians of Grub Supporters to contact 20 of the most inspiring companies in their network, challenging each one in turn to have 30 staff team members complete the free Cost Saving Skills Course.
Are you ready to see how you can reduce food waste and start saving money? All you have to do is:
-
Share this link with your staff.
-
Get them to enter their name, email (business or personal), sector (industry), location in the UK and local authority area.
-
They can then grab a coffee and work their way through the free 15-minute course.
This should give your team the appetite to play their part in tackling a global issue, protecting profits while they’re at it.
