FOOD MADE GOOD IN SWEDEN
Bringing Food Made Good to SWEDEN
Food Made Good now has an official presence in Sweden, thanks to our new partnership with Circular Gastronomy Scandinavia!
Why was Circular Gastronomy the perfect choice for this new partnership? Founded by Ami Hovstadius and Per Styregård, Circular Gastronomy stands out for its ability to bridge worlds that too often operate separately. By connecting chefs, restaurateurs, researchers, scientists and innovators, they create a collaborative ecosystem where ideas can move quickly from concept to impact. Their Innovation Program — including the Circular Gastronomy Challenge — exemplifies this approach, identifying promising ideas within the restaurant industry and supporting them over time with tailored expertise, mentorship and industry insight.
Their goal is to encourage and support ideas for change across the sector, turning ambition into delicious, commercially viable and sustainable action. Their work helps hospitality businesses to rethink, adapt and move forward with confidence, contributing to a more resilient and thriving food system. Their work includes curated events, knowledge sharing and thought leadership across the restaurant industry.
With our organisations aligned in both purpose and approach, Circular Gastronomy is the right Scandinavian partner for us. We share a drive to transform the sector through real-life action, sector-wide collaboration, creative and delicious change, and measurable impact. This is a fantastic opportunity to share and scale ideas, support businesses as they navigate change, and accelerate the transition to a more environmentally restorative and socially responsible hospitality sector. We’re excited to see momentum build across Sweden.

What is the Food Made Good Standard?
Developed by The SRA and launched in 2010, the Food Made Good Standard is the only global sustainability certification that has been designed especially for the hospitality industry. Robust and evidence-driven, the Standard takes a comprehensive, holistic approach to what sustainability should mean for this influential industry, based on detailed criteria across its three pillars: Sourcing, Society and Environment. The Standard measures progress, encourages a culture of continuous improvement and rewards excellence, and is a core part of how we work to achieve our mission of driving positive change through the F&B sector worldwide.
Where is the Food Made Good Standard available?
In 2023, we developed a new iteration of the Food Made Good Standard. This included an updated, more user-friendly platform and a brand new website to match, and we called on a range of experts to contribute as we re-developed the question set that restaurants must complete for their evaluation and the supporting evidence required. Not only did this modernise the Standard and make it more thorough, but it is now also accessible and applicable for F&B businesses anywhere in the world.
The Food Made Good Standard now has a presence in 43 countries and territories, with our network including restaurants, hotels, cafés, bars, catering companies and universities. You can read more here about how the Food Made Good Standard continues to drive change across the globe, or find our FAQs about the Standard here.
