- Role: Full-time, five days per week (12-month fixed term with potential for extension).
- Based: Hybrid, with two days per week in the office at London Bridge. Must have full rights to work in the UK.
- Reports to: Head of Projects & Consultancy
- Salary: £40,000/year (dependent on experience)

ABOUT THE SUSTAINABLE RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION
Since 2010, The Sustainable Restaurant Association has set the Standard for sustainable foodservice businesses globally. The SRA connects businesses around the world to accelerate change towards a hospitality sector that is socially progressive and environmentally restorative through the world’s largest sustainability certification tailored for the sector: Food Made Good.
The Food Made Good Standard (FMG) is the global gold standard for measuring progress across the industry. It is the world’s most comprehensive sustainability certification specifically designed for the hospitality industry. We set the Standard for sustainable foodservice around the world.
We work with around 400 foodservice businesses – a figure that expands out to about 11,000+ commercial kitchens across the globe.

We are looking for a dynamic, proactive Sustainability Consultant to project manage a diverse portfolio of global projects. This role is fast-paced and varied, delivering made-to-measure consultancy projects that can involve anything from research to policy writing to training delivery.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Sustainability Consultant is responsible for the delivery of high quality, reputable consulting projects across our partnership network. These projects cover global markets and cover different areas of the hospitality sector from suppliers, to F&B businesses, to PR & Media etc.
Our ideal candidate is proactive, driven and passionate about bringing about positive change in the food system. They are also process oriented and confident across the entire project life cycle from developing project plans with ambitious objectives to project management to ensure the timely completion of deliverables. They will have knowledge and experience within the field of sustainability and/ or food systems, keep up to date with trends, legislation and research relevant to the sector.
This role will require strong research skills, excellent stakeholder management skills, and excellent communication (both written and verbal). A week in the life of this sustainability consultant could begin with reviewing the sustainability policies of a global hotel brand and identifying gaps in policy, to then working with a small-scale spirits company on developing a project engaging bartenders in reducing food waste, to delivering training on sustainability basics to a network of F&B professionals. All the while keeping track of time spent on projects, managing timelines of deliverables and sharing questions and outcomes with the SRA team.
Our ideal candidate would be well versed in conducting effective project reviews, evaluations & follow-ups which track against shared objectives set out by partnerships. It would be fantastic if they were also happy to support in creating inspiring content about successful delivery to share across joint networks which contribute to scaling our impact.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Effective execution of a portfolio of diverse projects throughout the entire project lifecycle
- Development of bespoke and creative solutions which support strategic project objectives for both parties including clear milestones and success metrics
- Effective management of large-scale global projects; including regular progress tracking across time and budget
- Relationship management and stakeholder engagement
- Delivery of sustainability training to global F&B audiences
- Evaluation of projects based on impact, client satisfaction and key objectives
- Support with content creation to share project outcomes across our networks

EXPERIENCE & DESIRED SKILLS
- Minimum five years' experience working in a related field
- A degree in a relevant field
- Highly organised and works well independently as well as in a dynamic cross-functional team
- Experience developing and implementing policy
- Comfortable presenting to senior teams and public speaking
- Proven ability to provide accuracy alongside big-picture thinking in project deliverables
- Strong written and verbal communication (additional languages are always seen as a plus!)
