NATIONAL RESTAURANT AWARDS Sustainable Restaurant of the Year 2018
The Sustainable Restaurant Award at the National Restaurant Awards looks a little different this year.
Since we partnered with the National Restaurant Awards on this award in 2012, the winner has been decided on the findings of an online assessment of all aspects of a restaurant’s operation using the SRA’s Sustainability Rating.
For 2018, we want to reward the restaurant that has made a positive difference with a sustainable initiative launched in the past 12 months. And, we’re opening it up to all UK restaurants, because we’re determined to find the most deserving winner, whether they’re a chip shop on the coast, an all-day diner under the arches or a bucolic gastro-pub. It’s not who or where you are but what you’ve done that we’re interested in.
Maybe you’ve turned your kitchen into a plastic-free zone, overhauled your menu to put plant-based dishes centre stage, introduced a socially inclusive recruitment policy or hooked up with a local producer for an ingredient normally sourced from overseas.
For your chance to win the Sustainable Restaurant Award, tell us in approximately 250 words about your innovation, the motivation behind it and what you’ve achieved. When it comes to the tough job of shortlisting and selecting a winner, our judges will be looking for entries that can demonstrate impact, influence and integrity.
Deadline for entries is 16 May
