AAK are also a founder member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and we have been instrumental in the development and implementation of sustainable standards in the palm oil industry. In 2010 Prep became the first frying oil brand to support sustainable palm oil production via the GreenPalm programme. Since 2016 all of our Prep High Performance Frying oils are made using SG Palm Oil and are RSPO certified. Our aim is to continued to educate the major players within Foodservice on what is means to use sustainable palm oil; what it means for their business and how we can support them. Foodservice plays a vital role in calling for sustainable palm oil because of the volume used. Although many companies state palm oil is not seen as a consumer issue, it is present on every menu, from frying oils, pastry products, desserts, bread and mixes and not forgetting soap, detergents and cleaning products.
