In 2017, Kai Restaurant wanted to look at how it was performing as a green business and if this really tied in with how Kai creates its food, how it treats its staff and how the restaurant is in terms of its food waste management and how it really functions in terms of the environment. Kai asked the hard questions of “Are we actually doing enough for the environment and can we do better?” The Restaurant applied for a sustainability rating on all aspects of its business Food Made Good (The SRA). Kai Restaurant has a 93% food waste rating.

We are looking at being better all the time, now we want to educate our customers on food waste, why sourcing our food is so important and why eating seasonally needs to be a priority for everyone.
